Proud to Partner with Habitat:
While Habitat promotes affordable building for partner families, the ReStore is an avenue for all community members to maintain their homes. The ReStore accepts donations from the public and sells them back at a discounted rate. This retail center allows items to live longer and to be recycled in a responsible way. The proceeds are reinvested into the constrution costs of Habitat homes within the community.

Stats
Since our inception in January 2005 the citizens of Johnson County have made significant contributions to the area.  By re-channeling good, usable materials from the waste stream and selling them to people who want them, we have:

  • Given $200,000 to Iowa Valley HFH affiliate
  • Diverted 200 tons of material from area landfills
  • Diverted 80 tons this year alone
  • Served 5,000 customers a year
  • Helped countless families
