Key Responsibilities
- Work with all IVHFH staff to identify key stakeholders, make first contact, and develop communications strategies for each target audience.
- Create and manage marketing campaigns to promote IVHFH’s work and service to our community:
- Create and schedule content for digital media outlets including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Nextdoor. Manage engagement and communications on such outlets.
- Create content for digital newsletters and communications through IVHFH’s email marketing platform.
- Consistently develop creative and written messaging that aligns with Habitat for Humanity’s brand guidelines.
- Meet with Habitat homeowners, volunteers, and supporters to develop impact stories.
- Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics to track campaign performance and identify trends and insights to increase engagement with key stakeholders.
- Design creative marketing materials including digital media graphics, brochures, posters, advertisements, etc. Take photographs and videos at events and coordinate homeowner photos to use in the development of marketing materials.
- Research and maintain a community event calendar to identify outreach opportunities such as tabling events, volunteer fairs, trade shows, etc., Attend and give presentations at such events.
- Write and send press releases. Communicate with local media outlets to schedule event and project coverage and interviews.
- Coordinate with members of the outreach team to plan community engagement events, fundraising events, volunteer build days, etc.
- Assist the Development Director with tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate with IVHFH staff, members of the board of directors, and committee volunteers to pursue strategic plan objectives related to maintaining donor and volunteer databases.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Willingness to accept challenges, eagerness to learn, work in collaboration, and take ownership of various projects.
- Skilled in professional writing with a focus on creativity and organization. Strong proofreading and editing capabilities, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and ability to integrate social media with communications.
- Basic knowledge of photography and videography to produce quality creative content for all marketing materials.
- Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and coordinate, track, and prioritize multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with IVHFH’s stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and homeowners.
- Compassionate and culturally responsive with the ability to respectfully engage in well-considered discussions with groups from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.
- Demonstrated project management skills: organized, collaborative, thorough, and flexible.
- Ability to work independently but also to join others and collaborate in a team.
- Comfortable receiving open and honest feedback and willingness to make necessary changes to meet project expectations.
- Hold a valid driver's license and ability to travel in the surrounding geographic area.
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends, when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Higher education preferred, but not required.
- Relevant experiences in public relations, communications, or marketing preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with all IVHFH staff to determine volunteer needs for the construction, Helping Hands, ReStore, and office staff.
- Recruit, make first contact, and coordinate with volunteer groups and individuals to meet staff needs.
- Collaborate with the outreach team to develop messaging and outreach materials, raise funds, and recruit volunteers.
- Collaborate with IVHFH staff, members of the board of directors, and committee volunteers in pursuit of strategic plan objectives related to maintaining donor and volunteer databases.
- Lead IVHFH’s Volunteer Committee by maintaining regular communication, preparing agendas, sending meeting notes, delegating tasks, and tracking progress on objectives.
- Work with the outreach team to support IVHFH’s communications and marketing goals by providing content for newsletters, fundraising campaigns, social media communications, and taking photos of the volunteer events.
- Coordinate with members of the outreach team to plan community engagement events, fundraising and recognition events, volunteer build days, etc.
- Assist the Development Director with tasks as assigned.
- Ensure each construction site has a supply of hospitality materials and first-aid kits.
- Recruit and oversee AmeriCorps Service Members. Tasks include interviewing and selecting potential service members, administrative work, and general supervision tasks.
- Various tasks to assist with operations.
