every
home

is affordable because
of volunteers like you
we
build

We rely on volunteers to help us build. The work you do at the construction site is not ceremonial. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty, and sweat a little.

No experience is required. We will provide you with the tools and instruction you need to complete your assigned tasks.

VOLUNTEER CALENDAR
I’ve learned what building a home is all about but I’ve also learned a lot about myself, my determination, and my will to accomplish any task that is set before me. I’m a lot stronger and more capable than I give myself credit for, and sore muscles after a day on a job site remind me of that.  There is always something new to learn and Christy does a great job challenging her volunteers to build their skills and step outside of their comfort zone."

expectations
  • Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes.
  • The weather is always a factor, so keep an eye on the skies and dress for whatever Mother Nature throws at us.
  • We will provide you with water, but you are welcome to bring your own refreshments.
  • We will provide you with tools, however we know how your own hammer just feels different! Feel free to bring it and any other tools with you, but label them and keep track of them as we are not responsible for lost tools.
  • Please arrive ten minutes prior to the beginning of the shift so we can do a short orientation, get you geared-up, and start building!
